Bring a Bit of Bling into your Life with a Resin Bound Driveway in Urmston!

“Bling” might not be the sort of word that you would expect to find in the same sentence as “resin bound driveway”, but in this instance, there was a bit of bling in the new driveway in Urmston. That’s because with this recent project our clients made a special request, they asked that a touch of gunmetal grey aluminium flake was added to their resin bound driveway in Urmston. This means that when the light falls on the driveway, it glistens and sparkles. For this project we initially created the shape and defined the area that the new driveway in Urmston was going to cover by laying Plaspave blocks to frame the driveway. We also used KL kerbs along the edge of the grass to retain the garden. Once this was all in place, we poured tarmac over the area. This creates a great base for the resin aggregate and as it is permeable it allows rainwater to flow through making it SUDs compliant and no need to install a drain.

Once the tarmac had set in place, the resin bound aggregate was then poured over it. Our clients chose Onyx aggregate with the addition of the gunmetal grey aluminium flakes, which as a combination, you can see from the photographs, perfectly complemented the grey features on the house including the front door, garage door and window frames as well as the grey gates at the top of the resin bound driveway in Urmston.

With this project there was a manhole in the middle of the driveway which ordinarily would be an unsightly feature. However, to make this more discreet we added a disguised lid. If you look at the photographs, it’s now invisible! It’s little details like this that create a professional, quality finish for your new driveway in Urmston.
