Our clients wanted to improve the manoeuvrability of the space outside their house, making it easier to get in and out of the entranceway. The land was fully excavated and a brand-new bed of type 1 MOT hardcore was put down.
We also inserted Tobermore Pedesta decorative blocks along the fringes of the driveway, running along the side next to the boundary fence, as well as skirting the raised border and the front and side walls of the house. This added definition to the shape of the new driveway, highlighting the curves and straight lines.
Once the blocks were in place, we spread a layer of permeable tarmac across the whole area. This is an integral part of the process when installing a resin bound driveway. That’s because it ensures that when the resin goes down it is fully SUDS compliant.
You can see what’s been completed so far from the photographs included. We will return to cover the surface with a layer of resin and complete the project, when the weather is above 5 degrees C so the resin won’t react. In the meantime, the driveway is still fully functional and will be used as normal.
