Brand-new resin bound driveway in Buxton
New Driveway Installed and Another Happy Customer!
New World Resin Driveways recently installed a brand-new resin bound driveway in Buxton. Our clients chose to use Soltice blend aggregate for their new driveway.
We started the process by excavating the area and clearing the space and covered it with gravel to form the sub base. We then spread a layer of tarmac over this – as seen in some of the photographs. It was at this point that we also fitted charcoal blocks along the edge of the tarmac as well as charcoal kerb blocks to separate the new driveway from the border and lawn.
The next part of the process was to apply the resin bound aggregate. You can see from one of the “close up” pictures the lovely red stones that were combined in this. The charcoal blocks previously set in place, nicely framed the resin bound driveway in Buxton, defining the shape and providing a lovely contrast between the blocks and the colour of the aggregate that we used. We were able to lay the driveway around the front and side walls of the house as well as cut along where the grass and side border was.
The last stage of laying the resin bound driveway in Buxton was to add a layer of glass which was scattered over whole area. This prevent slipping and makes the surface more stable to walk on.
As you can see from the photographs included the new driveway transformed the outside space. We didn’t need to add a drain because when the resin is laid on open pour tarmac it is automatically SUDS compliant.
As always for this project we used our 7.5 UV stable resin kits. We had the perfect conditions for laying this driveway as it was a nice, dry day.
