Another Customer Happy Customer with their Resin Bound Driveway in Wythenshawe, Manchester

New World Resin Driveways recently installed a gorgeous new resin bound driveway in Wythenshawe, Manchester. The area at the front of the house that we covered formed not just a driveway, but also a path leading to the front door and a step at the front door.

A great feature of using resin bound aggregate for a new driveway in Wythenshawe, Manchester, is that it can be laid into any shape and size area, meaning we can work around any existing features such as a border, trees, lawn, or in this instance, a decorative gravelled area.

The first part of the process when installing the resin bound driveway in Wythenshawe, Manchester was to ensure the subbase was clean and of sound construction. The surface must be dry and free of water. A suitable base for the new driveway in Wythenshawe, Manchester included Macadam, Asphalt and Concrete.

We primed the surface and then fitted a charcoal boarder around the perimeter of the new driveway and path using charcoal KL Keykerb stones and around the half-moon step at the front door. Keykerbs are a great way to create a demarcation between your driveway and pathway. It helps structurally to hold everything together but also makes for a more cohesive design.

Once these were in place, we then laid the resin bound aggregate. Our clients opted to have Winter Sage aggregate for their resin bound driveway in Wythenshawe, Manchester. This blends dark green and contrasting gold, cream and grey stones which are naturally round and, in some cases, angular. We mixed the aggregate with the resin which binds it all together and then laid into the area that had been dug out for the new driveway. It was then flattened down. We also added a recessed manhole cover. As it was laid on permeable tarmac, it was all SUDS compliant. As with all our resin bound driveways, we used 7.5 UV stable resin kits.
