Beautiful New Resin Bound Driveway in Bramhall, Stockport
New World Resin Driveways recently completed a project that involved installing a brand-new resin bound driveway in Bramhall, Stockport. This was a major build project as it required more than just installing a driveway as a staircase and surrounding walls were also required.
To begin with the area at the front of the house needed a lot of excavation work which included removing vegetation and trees that were impacting on the space required for the driveway and steps leading up to the house. At New World Resin Driveways we have or can source the necessary equipment and plant machinery to carry out this kind of work. You can see from some of the photographs the mini digger that we used to remove soil, trees and some of the existing garden area.
We then added the footings as part of the preparatory work for both staircases and the walls, and then built the walls. We also rerouted one of the drains.
The next stage was to use an MOT Type 1 Limestone sub base. This is used as a levelling material and sub base, ideal for driveways. This material is permeable so it assists with drainage and it includes larger stones so it won’t easily be washed away.
After the sub base had been compacted into the ground we bedded charcoal blocks around the edge of the perimeter which looked great next to the brickwork. We used charcoal KL kerb for the edging of the steps. This created a nice solid edge that also bolstered the strength of the step to withstand heavy foot traffic. Next, we used a 14mm open pore tarmac to allow for drainage, this also ensures that the driveway is SuDS compliant. We added a dark grey (charcoal) coping to the top of the walls that perfectly matched and complimented the rest of the project and tied the whole colour scheme together.
The final stage of the process was to lay the resin bound material. The customer chose a grey and silver aggregate for their driveway. As you can see from the photographs this created stunning results which perfectly complimented the rest of the work. All the resins we use are all UV stable and this project was no different. To complete the project, we used crushed glass on top of the resin to create some traction as there was a slight slope.
As testimony to our quality workmanship and knowledge we now have resin suppliers who are asking to use our pictures of this resin bound driveway in Bramhall, Stockport project in their brochures. Our Customers were thrilled with the results. See for yourself what the whole scheme looked like from the photographs provided. It completely transformed the front of the house!
